Ebay appears to be overrun with sellers offering fake Jordans and Flaves these days.  There are even fake Bapes available here.  Go to any urban bazaar or flea market and you'll see the same shoes offered there as the ones offered here, in the same styles and colors.  They come in Nike shoeboxes.   They come in Bape shoeboxes with the storage bags that come with some models,  and all the packaging looks legitimate.  The shoes and their packaging are made in China, often by the same manufacturers who contracted to produce the genuine Nikes and Bapes.  It's naive to assume that someone stole the patterns and took them to another factory to make the knockoffs.  They're made more or less in the original designs, with inferior materials.  They are smuggled in by the container load, in outer cartons which are not marked with a manufacturers brand name.

    One way to avoid being ripped off is to simply do a little comparison shopping.  Go to the malls and the athletic shoe stores near you,  and look over the styles of genuine Nikes Air Jordans and Flaves  available.  Look over the color combinations and familiarize yourself with the retail prices.  Then look at what is offered here and see if what you're seeing seems believable. Is a style which retails for $180 showing up here in several ended auctions from the same seller for less than $100? Does a seller here have an entire size run of a rare Jordan style?  If so, how did he manage to get  all the sizes in the relatively scarce style such as the  Retro in Red/Concrete when so few large retail chains could offer the same when the model was in current release?
