NO--a 37.5 is NOT a 7 and a half!

Day in, day out, I cruise the eBay shops for my favorite European style shoes.  I see ad after ad indicating that a 38 is an 8 (NOT) or a 36 is a 6 (NOT).  I wonder how many folks have taken the word of their seller and bought the shoes only to discover that they didn't fit after all.

I can't post the link to the Shoe Conversion chart since it isn't on an eBay page but if you type into your search browser:  International Shoe Conversion--you should get the chart.  It's pretty accurate and it's saved me time and time again from buying the wrong size!  The compiler of this chart ALSO indicates that it is a good idea to measure a pair of shoes that you currently own and check to see if the seller has posted the actual measurements.  Without that, again, this chart is pretty true to size.  For example, the chart indicates that a

37.5 is a 7

38 is a 7-1/2

38.5 is an 8

and so on.

Now, if we can only get the sellers to use the chart and accurately indicate their shoes sizes!
